Thomas Pierce
b. South Carolina, 1982. Thomas is the author of a novel, The Afterlives, and a short story collection, Hall of Small Mammals, for which he was honored with the National Book Foundation's 5 Under 35 Award. He holds an MFA from the University of Virginia, where he was a Poe/Faulkner Fellow. His stories have appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Zoetrope, The Oxford American, and Virginia Quarterly Review and been anthologized in The Best American Non-Required Reading and O. Henry Prize Stories. He has reported for NPR and National Geographic Magazine. Along with his wife and daughters, he currently lives in Charlottesville, VA. |
